Minden nép emléket állít kiemelkedõ alakjainak, hõseinek. Ez
rendjén is van, de mivel érdemelhetnek ki szobrot állatok? Persze
nem azokra gondolok, „akik“ munkájukat végzik, mint pl.
a hátasló, vagy a Parlament kapuját õrzõ oroszlánok, hanem azokra a
szerencsésekre, kik saját emlékmûvet kaptak. Mint tudjuk (?), a II.
világháborúban 54 állat kapott hõsi tetteiért Dickin Medal-t, mely
a Viktória Kereszt-tel egyenrangú brit katonai kitüntetés. Miért is
ne állíthatnánk akkor szobrot is az arra érdemeseknek?
Közülük keresünk föl néhányat ebben a sorozatban. Ha úgy érzed, ide

Boci
Ez az aranyos kis boci Boldogfai-Farkas Sándor alkotása
1964-bõl. Az alumíniumból készült szobor kissé eldugott helyen
található, ezért talán nem is sokan ismerik.
A láda NEM a fenti koordinátákon található! A koordináták
a szobor helyét jelölik.
A láda megtalálásához elõször össze kell gyûjtened és fel kell

Animal heroes in the city 18.
Every nation raises memorials for outstanding persons, heroes.
This is all right but how can animals deserve statues? Of course
I’m not thinking of those „who“ are taking their
job, eg. a saddle-horse or the guardian lions of the Parliament. I
mean those lucky ones who have their own memorials. As we know (?),
in the Second World War 54 animals got the Dickin Medal for their
heroical acts, the honour of which is equal to that of the Victoria
Cross. Why not erect a statue for the worthy ones then?

Little cow
This cute little cow, made of aluminum, was created by Sándor
Boldogfai-Farkas in 1964. Its location is a bit isolated so the
statue is probably not known to many of us.
